TERMS AND CONDITIONS

of the “Yakutia International Science Games”

(Yakutia International Youth Science Forum in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Russian Federation

1.    General

1.1 The given concept defines aims and objectives of the Yakutia International Science Games (referred as “YISG”)
1.2 The present regulation is developed in accordance with the Decree of the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) 28 July 2020, №1350 «On holding the Second International Science Games in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) », by the Decree of the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) 17 May 2021 «About the Concept Second of the International Science Games», by the Decree of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) dated November 17, 2021, 1134 «On the organizational committee for the preparation and holding of the Second International Science Games» and the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) from September 9, 2021 №01-03/1519 «About the Program Committee of the Second International Science Games».
1.3 The mission of the YISG is establishment of an international community of highly motivated students, teachers, scientists, and members of public organizations and parents who are interested in achievements of science and technology. Objectives of the YISG are:
1.3.1 Establishment and development of a communication and education platform for highly motivated children, who are interested in scientific research.
1.3.2 Introduction for teachers with the world’s best educational practices to involve children in systematic research and projects in the field of science and technology.
1.3.3 Generating extensive media coverage of the YISG and multimedia format usage to create a single interactive information space.
1.3.4 The official languages of the YISG are English and Russian. The working language is English.

2.    Organizers

2.1 YISG is prepared and conducted by the YISG Organizing Committee. The YISG Programme Committee develops and approves the Rules of Competition
2.2 The organizer of YISG is the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), represented by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). YISG co-organizers are Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education “M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University” and the non-profit organization “Trust Fund of Future Generations in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)”
2.3 The YISG is supported by the Educational Foundation «Talent and Success», the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Russian youth), the federal state budget institution «Russian Academy of Sciences», federal state budget educational institution of higher education «Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov», MILSET-VOSTOK - regional program of the International Movement in Support of Scientific and Technical Leisure of Youth «MILSET» interregional social movement of creative teachers «Researcher», National Research University «Higher School of Economics», Autonomous non-profit organization «Agency of Strategic Initiatives for the Promotion of New Projects»the state autonomous educational institution of additional vocational education of the city of Moscow «Center of pedagogical skill».
2.4 Each YISG event has its own organizing committee (hereinafter referred to as event organizing committee), a working group coordinated and approved by the YISG organizer.

3.    Date and venue of the YISG

3.1 Date and venue of the YISG
First stage (remotely) from 15 March to 10 June 2022
Second stage (face-to-face) 30 June to 10 July 2022. Russian Federation, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Yakutsk city. 
3.2 Changes can be made on the basis of the existing epidemiological situation by the decision of the organizational committee.

4.    YISG Events

YISG events consist of two stages:
4.1 Stage I of the YISG is held from March to June 2022 on the digital platform «Reactor» in the form of project tasks. Winners of personal credit will take part in the events of the YISG, with the support of the interregional public movement of creative teachers «Researcher» and the Foundation for Innovative Future Projects. Culture. Education».
4.2 Stage II of the YISG consists of the following events:
●      International Tuymaada Olympiad on mathematics, physics, chemistry, and informatics. The Olympiad will be held in 2 rounds. Participants will be divided into leagues: senior (10-12 grade) and junior (9 grade and less). In the Olympiad in Informatics, there is no division into leagues. Teams consisting of seven students will be participating in the competition. The winners will be determined by each subject in each league. Also, for each subject of the Olympiad in each league. The personal results of seven team members will be taken into account when calculating scores for the YISG Grand Cup.
●      Yakutia International Science Fair. The conference will be held in the form of a stand session and oral presentations before the jury of the competition in three sections: mathematics, computer science and information technology; physics, astronomy, and engineering; life sciences (biology, chemistry, medicine, ecology, and geography). According to the results of the examination, the jury allocates to the best works the main awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. The team results for the YISG Grand Cup will be taken into account when calculating the scores of the best projects of the individual team. Following the results of the competition, the jury, under the guidance of the Chairman of the Programme Committee, determines the absolute winner of the competition, who presented the best scientific/engineering project, and separately the best poster of the project.
●      International Research School (“IRS”) of STEM-projects. Within the school, international thematic project groups are being formed, which carry out open-ended research projects. In the course of the project, participants go through all stages of research work: hypothesis making, goal setting, experiment, data processing, protection of results before colleagues, and experts.
●      Participation in YISG events is governed by the Regulations of the respective activities.

5.    Requirements for participants

5.1 An educational organization that has a team consisting of students of one educational organization is allowed to participate in the YISG. The basic composition of the team is determined by the organizing committees of the respective activities.
5.2 An educational organization as a participant has the right to include in the team of students up to the twelfth grade, as well as graduates of educational organizations who have passed the final exams but have not yet started training in vocational education institutions. The age of the participants of competitive events must not exceed 20 years by 30 July 2022.
5.3 An educational organization may nominate additional teams in agreement with the relevant organizing committees of the events.
5.4 The team of the educational organization is accompanied by one leader and one companion, with in-person participation.
5.5 The organizer will provide all necessary documents to assist in the application for a Russian visa.

6.    Funding

6.1 The Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) provides funding for YISG in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of 19 January 2022.
6.2 Participation in YISG Stage II includes a fee from participants, team leaders and companions.
For remote participation, the fee is 3,000 roubles for participants of the Russian Federation.
For participants from foreign countries, the organizational fee is $100
For full-time participation, the fee is 9,000 rubles for the members of the Russian Federation included in the main team, 15,000 rubles - in the additional team.
For participants from the main team of foreign countries the organizational fee is $150, additional team—$300
For participants of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) participation is free
6.3 The amount of the organizational fee for the participants of the International Research School is determined by the interregional public movement of creative teachers «Researcher»
6.4 The number, terms, and conditions of participation and organizational fee of observers, additional managers and accompanying, additional participants in all events shall be determined in agreement with the respective organizers of the event.
6.5 Transportation costs to and from the YISG held place, additional travel costs and, if necessary, testing on COVID-19 are covered by the guide party. Accommodation, meals, YISG excursions and internal transportation costs for the duration of the YISG are covered by the host country.
6.6 The organizational fee for refusal to participate in YISG will not be refunded.

7.    Results measure procedure

7.1 Summing up the results in the individual-team standings in each of the competitive events is carried out in accordance with the Regulations of the relevant competitions.
7.2 According to the results of participation in competitive events – International Olympiad of Schoolchildren «Tuymaada» in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and informatics and International School Scientific Conference-Competition (Yakutia International Science Fair) team result will be summarized among educational organizations.
7.3 The winner and prizewinners of the team outcome are approved by the Program Committee of the YISG.

8.    Awarding

8.1 All participants will receive certificates
8.2 Winners of competitive events will be awarded with medals and diplomas.
8.3 The YISG Grand Cup goes to the winning team of the Competitive Event

9.    Application

9.1 Applications are being accepted on the website http://yisg2022.ru/ no later than April 25, 2022. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
9.2 The organizing committee of events considers the applications and sends an invitation with the list of the students invited to participate in the event, in the period up to May 20
9.3 All participants, supervisors, and accompanying persons are required to register on the website http:/yisg2022.ru/ while receiving receipt of a personal invitation from the organizer of the respective event in time up to the 31st of May.
9.4 When accrediting teams on the day of arrival, the following shall be presented:
●      participation invitation
●      copies of identity documents (passport)
●      copies of payment documents confirming payment of the organizational fee for the team members
●      results of COVID-19 PCR tests 72 hours prior to arrival and vaccination information, if available, and evidence of no contact with infectious patients (including COVID-19 and information on preventive vaccination against polio, measles, rubella according to the prescribed form).
9.5 Accreditation badges are issued at the place of residence.

10.  Amendments

The YISG Organizing Committee has the right to amend the YISG Regulation if necessary.

1. General conditions

1.1. The present Policy is included in the order of organization and realization of the Yakutia International Science Games (hereinafter referred to as “YISG”).
1.2. The competition “YISG Grand Cup” is held in order to identify winner educational organization according to the team competition results for every separate competition event.
1.3. The team competitions winner will be awarded with “YISG Grand Cup” according to the results.

2. Requirements for the participants

2.1. The maximum number of people participating in the YISG competition events from one team is set by the following table:

3. Order of results determination

3.1 The result determination of personal and team competitions of every competition event is conducted according to the Rules of every respective competition.
3.2. The team result between educational institutions is determined according to the results of competitions listed in the item 2.1.

3.3. The order of determination of winners and awardees of team competitions between educational institutions:
Jury of every competition events must determine the team result, as well as the personal results and place the educational organizations from the 1st to the last place. During the determination of team results, the Jury must consider the results of only one best participant or team in the protocol, according to the Item 2.1.
If participants from different educational organizations have the same score, then their educational organizations will share the same award. For example, if 2 participants from different educational organizations have the same best score, then both educational organizations will share the first degree diploma in the given discipline of the competition event. The educational organization following after will be awarded with the 3rd degree diplomas.
Educational organization which will gain the most number of the 1st (first) degree diplomas will become a winner of the YISG Team Competitions according to the results of the YISG competition events and it will be awarded with the “YISG Grand Cup”.
If several educational organizations have the same number of first degree diplomas, then the winner will be determined by the biggest number of the 2nd degree diplomas in 17 disciplines of the competition events, etc.

3.4. The order of winners and awardees determination of Team Competition must be confirmed by the Program Committee of YISG.
